Where does our keratin come from?

Cynatine® HNS keratin hydrolysate is extracted from the wool of sheep (a specific breed raised in New Zealand exclusively for its wool); it has an amino acid composition very similar to the keratin present in the human body.

The extraction process is patented and guaranteed without corrosive processes, unlike most protein hydrolysates. This guarantees a remarkable cysteine content (amino acid that makes up keratin) and makes the keratin water-soluble, highly assimilable and 96% bioavailable.

What do clinical studies say?

Cynatine® HNS keratin hydrolysate has been the subject of several clinical studies.

It has been shown that a daily intake of 500 mg of keratin hydrolysate for 3 months can improve several parameters relating to the growth and quality of hair and nails, as well as the appearance and quality of the skin. More details:

Hair: Hair growth (anagen phase) is increased by 11%. Hair loss decreased by 43% after 3 months, compared to the placebo group, with a measurable result from the first month (-12.5%). The strength of the hair fiber is increased by 5.9%. In addition, an improvement in shine of 40% and volume of 95% were observed.
Nails: A decrease in the frequency of nail breakage of 62% was observed from the first month and 87% after 3 months. In addition, the nails have improved strength and resistance by more than 40%.
