Magnesium Overview

Magnesium is an essential mineral that is involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions. It is essential to our well-being and contributes in particular to the reduction of fatigue, as well as to the proper functioning of the nervous and muscular systems.

However, it is estimated today that 75% of French people are deficient in magnesium, which can lead to a loss of energy, disturbed sleep, stress or even muscular discomfort.

To help you meet your magnesium needs, we have selected a highly bioavailable form of magnesium: magnesium bisglycinate. It is easily absorbed by the body and does not cause digestive discomfort.

To optimize its effectiveness, magnesium bisglycinate is combined with taurine and bioactive vitamin B6 which promote the assimilation of magnesium.

This supplement is ideal for people prone to stress, fatigue, muscle cramps, or with increased magnesium needs (athletes, seniors, etc.).

Why our Magnesium Bisglycinate?

High assimilation
We have chosen the most effective form of magnesium: magnesium bisglycinate. This is a 3rd generation form where magnesium is bound to two glycine molecules. This chelated structure offers superior bioavailability, allowing better absorption and use by the body, compared to other forms such as marine magnesium.

Additionally, it is gentler on the digestive system, reducing the risk of intestinal upset often associated with other types of magnesium.

Magnesium bisglycinate is particularly valued for its beneficial effects on vitality, sleep and stress management, while supporting muscle and nerve health.

Complete formula with Taurine and Vitamin B6
Magnesium bisglycinate is combined with taurine, which improves magnesium absorption, and bioactive vitamin B6, which is essential for optimizing the body's use of magnesium. Vitamin B6 also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Available in 2 sizes
Each daily dose (3 capsules) provides 300 mg of elemental magnesium. We offer it in 2 formats: 60 capsules (20-day treatment) and 120 capsules (40-day treatment).

Why offer magnesium in the bisglycinate form?

There are many forms of magnesium available on the food supplement market: oxide, marine magnesium, citrate, malate, bisglycinate... What distinguishes them: their elemental magnesium content, their bioavailability (quantity of magnesium actually absorbed by the body), their side effects and of course... their price.

We have formulated our complex with magnesium bisglycinate, because we believe it is the best form of magnesium. Indeed, this 3rd generation magnesium salt has a very good highly assimilable and has a high content of elemental magnesium. This chelated form also has a very good tolerance by the body. In addition, our composition is vegan!

What is the difference between magnesium glycinate and bisglycinate?

There is no difference between magnesium glycinate and bisglycinate. The term "bis" in "magnesium bisglycinate" is simply another way of referring to magnesium glycinate, indicating that it contains two molecules of the amino acid glycine.

What are the taurine and vitamin B6 in the formula used for?

The taurine and vitamin B6 present in our magnesium bisglycinate formula help optimize the effects and absorption of magnesium, which allows us to offer you a high quality product.

What is the best magnesium?

The best forms of magnesium are magnesium malate and magnesium bisglycinate, as they are very well absorbed and tolerated by the body!

We preferred the bisglycinate form to malate because the latter is less concentrated in elemental magnesium.

Is your magnesium causing digestive upsets?

No, generally speaking our magnesium does not cause digestive problems. In fact, we have expressly opted for a bisglycinate form that is very well tolerated by the body and does not cause any discomfort during transit.

What are the benefits of magnesium bisglycinate?

Magnesium bisglycinate is a form of magnesium that is more easily absorbed by the body and better tolerated at the digestive level.

Its benefits are those of magnesium, a mineral which plays an essential role in the body by contributing to the reduction of stress, fatigue and the proper functioning of the nervous system.

When to take magnesium bisglycinate?

The ideal time to take magnesium varies depending on your wellness goal:

  • If you are using magnesium bisglycinate for stress reduction, increasing your energy levels, or relaxing your muscles, it is recommended to take it with a meal, either in the morning or at noon.
  • If your goal is to improve the quality of your sleep, it is best to take magnesium bisglycinate in the evening, just before bed.

We advise you to take magnesium at fixed times, on a regular basis. Like all food supplements, it is regularity that will make the difference.

When will I feel the first effects?

The first benefits of a magnesium treatment appear after 3 to 4 weeks of regular intake. For optimal and more complete effects, we recommend a 3-month treatment.

How does magnesium affect stress?

Magnesium acts on stress by regulating the nervous system response. It participates in the production of neurotransmitters such as GABA, which promotes relaxation and reduces neuronal excitability. It also helps maintain electrolyte balance, thus supporting optimal nerve function and reducing the feeling of stress.

Does magnesium help you sleep?

Yes, magnesium can promote relaxation that helps you fall asleep and has a positive effect on sleep quality by regulating neurotransmitters and the sleep hormone, melatonin.

What are the signs of magnesium deficiency?

There are several signs that can indicate a magnesium deficiency. Fatigue, muscle cramps, irritability or sleep disturbances can, for example, indicate a magnesium deficiency.

What are the main reasons for magnesium deficiency?

The quality of food has changed significantly in recent years and our diet has been transformed. Many essential elements, including magnesium, are naturally less present.

Our current lifestyle, stress and anxiety also contribute to the loss of magnesium.

And in certain situations, our needs may be increased. This is the case for pregnant women, athletes or even the elderly.

What foods are rich in magnesium?

Foods rich in magnesium include whole grains, dark chocolate and cocoa, oilseeds, seafood and molluscs, oily fish, legumes, dried fruits and tofu.

You can find the list of 10 foods rich in magnesium, directly on ourblog.

What is the recommended dose of magnesium per day?

The recommended daily dose of magnesium may vary depending on gender and age.

In men, the recommended nutritional intake is between 400 and 420 mg per day, in women between 300 and 320 mg, and around 400 mg in adolescents.

As for food supplements, it is generally recommended not to exceed 300 mg per day, which corresponds to approximately 80% of the recommended intake, in order to limit the risks of overdose, as food provides magnesium.
