Why our Zinc Bisglycinate?

Zinc bisglycinate high absorption

Optimal dosage
Each capsule in our formula contains 15 mg of highly absorbable zinc bisglycinate, combined with 2 mg of bioactive vitamin B6, which supports the absorption and effectiveness of zinc.

4 months of treatment
This supplement contains 120 capsules, allowing a 4-month treatment.

Why take zinc?

Zinc is an essential trace element. It supports the immune system, contributes to healthy skin, hair, and nails, and helps protect cells from oxidative stress. It also plays a role in fertility, reproduction, and nutrient metabolism.

Although zinc is present in food, some people may not absorb enough of it, especially those following a vegetarian diet, experiencing stress, chronic fatigue, or digestive issues. In these cases, zinc supplementation can help fill potential deficiencies and support overall well-being.

What is the role of zinc?

Zinc is a trace element essential for many body functions:

Here are the claims approved by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA):

Zinc contributes to:

  • to protect cells against oxidative stress,
  • to the normal functioning of the immune system,
  • to maintain normal vision,
  • to maintain normal levels of testosterone in the blood,
  • to normal acid-base metabolism,
  • to a normal carbohydrate metabolism,
  • to normal fatty acid metabolism,
  • to normal metabolism of vitamin A,
  • to normal DNA synthesis,
  • to normal cognitive function,
  • to maintain normal bone structure,
  • to the maintenance of normal skin, nails and hair,
  • to the process of cell division,
  • to normal protein synthesis,
  • to normal fertility and reproduction,
  • to normal macronutrient metabolism.

What are the signs of zinc deficiency?

A zinc deficiency can lead to weakened immunity, blemish-prone skin, brittle or thinning hair, slower wound healing, altered taste and smell, and persistent fatigue.

What is the difference between zinc bisglycinate, gluconate, and citrate?

These forms of zinc differ in terms of bioavailability and digestive tolerance:

  • Zinc bisglycinate: Highly absorbable and gentle on the stomach due to its chelated form.
  • Zinc gluconate: Commonly used, with decent absorption but sometimes less well tolerated than bisglycinate.
  • Zinc citrate: Moderate absorption, often chosen for its alkalizing properties.

Which is the best form of zinc to take?

Zinc bisglycinate is often considered the best form of zinc as it is highly bioavailable and well tolerated by the stomach. Its chelation with glycine improves absorption and reduces the risk of digestive discomfort.

Is zinc bisglycinate gentler on the stomach than other forms of zinc?

Yes, zinc bisglycinate is known to be easier to digest. Thanks to its association with glycine, it is better absorbed and avoids the stomach discomfort that some other forms of zinc may cause.

Why is vitamin B6 combined with zinc bisglycinate in this formula?

Vitamin B6 enhances zinc absorption and utilization in the body. It also plays a key role in energy metabolism, hormonal balance, and immune function, making this combination particularly beneficial.

How long does a bottle of Zinc Bisglycinate last?

Our supplement contains 120 capsules. Taking one capsule per day provides a 4-month supply.

What is the recommended daily dose of zinc?

The recommended daily intake varies based on individual needs, but generally, 10 to 15 mg of elemental zinc per day is sufficient to meet daily requirements.

Should I take zinc in the morning or at night?

The timing depends on your personal preference—morning or evening, whichever works best for you!

Can I take this supplement continuously?

A typical zinc supplementation cycle lasts 2 months. Our supplement allows for two 2-month cycles per year. We recommend taking at least a 2-week break between cycles.

Is zinc bisglycinate suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, our Zinc Bisglycinate supplement is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.

Can I take zinc during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Yes, zinc is essential during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as it supports fetal development and the mother’s immune system. However, it’s important to follow recommended dosages and consult a healthcare professional before supplementing.

Can I take zinc with other supplements?

Yes, but be mindful of interactions. Zinc can interfere with the absorption of iron and copper, so it’s best to space them out during the day. However, zinc works well in synergy with vitamin C and magnesium.

How long does it take to see the effects of zinc supplementation?

Results vary from person to person, but generally, it takes a few weeks to notice improvements in skin, hair, or immunity. A 2-3 month course is often recommended for long-lasting results.

What are the benefits of zinc for the skin?

Zinc supports healthy skin by promoting cell renewal and protecting against oxidative stress. It is known to aid wound healing and regulate sebum production, making it a great ally for blemish-prone or sensitive skin.

What are the effects of zinc on hair?

Zinc helps maintain strong, healthy hair by supporting protein synthesis, including keratin, a key structural component of hair. It also protects cells from oxidative stress, which can help prevent premature hair aging.

Ensuring an adequate zinc intake is essential for strong, resilient hair.

Does zinc bisglycinate have any side effects?

Zinc bisglycinate is well tolerated, but excessive intake may cause mild digestive issues such as nausea or stomach discomfort. It can also interfere with the absorption of other minerals, like copper. To avoid this, always follow the recommended dosage.
