Although guarana has a high caffeine content (the plant contains 2 to 4 times more caffeine than coffee beans), our formula contains an adequate dose of this substance. A daily dose (3 capsules) provides 50 mg of caffeine, which is approximately half a coffee.

According to a study by EFSA, a healthy adult can consume up to 400 mg of caffeine per day (spread over the day) without any problems, i.e. approximately 5.7 mg per kg of body weight. In pregnant and/or breastfeeding women, it is recommended not to exceed 200 mg (approximately 2.8 mg per kg of body weight). Below this level, the caffeine consumed does not pose any danger to the foetus.

In children and adolescents, the maximum dose considered safe is 3 mg per kg of body weight per day.

Caffeine! The term “guaranine” is nothing more than a distortion of vocabulary designating the caffeine present in Guarana.

Just like theine, which is actually caffeine.

But then, why do we say that caffeine is more stimulating than theine? Quite simply because in equal quantities, a tea contains about 4 times less caffeine than a cup of coffee.

In addition, the tannin(s) also present in tea make the caffeine less available, meaning that its assimilation is slower, resulting in less of a “kick” effect.

Consumed before going to sleep, the latter can slightly disrupt falling asleep and staying asleep, particularly when taking more than 100 mg.

Although 3 capsules only represent 50 mg of caffeine, we recommend that you take it in the morning in order to benefit from good energy during your day, and not risk disturbing your sleep!

The Boost Bio Formula is recommended from the age of 16. In children and adolescents, it is recommended not to exceed 3 mg of caffeine per kg of body weight: the dose is then quickly reached. Indeed, it should not be forgotten that caffeine is found in tea, certain sodas, or even in chocolate and even in certain medications.

EFSA recommends not to consume more than 400 mg of caffeine per day. This is significantly higher than the dose of caffeine contained in our food supplement (3 capsules of Formule Boost Bio contain 50 mg of caffeine).

However, if you consume coffee or tea during the day, we advise you not to take more than 3 capsules of Formule Boost per day so as not to risk exceeding the maximum daily dose of caffeine.
