Melatonin, also known as the sleep hormone, is naturally produced by the pineal gland (located in the brain) from serotonin. Its secretion occurs in the evening to prepare the body for sleep, playing an essential role in regulating the sleep/wake cycle.
The EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) has validated the following health claims:
- Melatonin helps to mitigate the effects of jet lag1.
- Melatonin contributes to reducing the time required to fall asleep2.
We have made the choice to select a time release melatonin labeled Melotime™, which has the advantage of gradually releasing melatonin throughout the night. It releases 50% of the dose during the first hour and the remainder over the next 7 hours. Thus, the assimilation is longer, and the effects are more lasting.
Each daily dose (2 capsules) provides an optimal concentration of 1.9 mg of pure melatonin.
1 The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming at least 0.5 mg shortly before bedtime on the first day of travel and for a few days after arriving at the destination.
2 The beneficial effect is achieved by consuming 1 mg before bedtime.
Lemon balm
Lemon balm is a perennial plant native to the Mediterranean region, existing for more than 2,000 years, and its benefits have been known since ancient Greece. It facilitates relaxation by having calming properties on the nervous system, thereby reducing sleep disturbances. It is also known for its digestive properties.
The lemon balm extract we have selected contains more than 5% rosmarinic acid, a polyphenol with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Its action on sleep is twofold, as it promotes relaxation and improves the quality of natural sleep. Its advantage? It is not addictive and does not cause habituation, but it is also used in cases of overexertion and emotional stress.

Hops
Hops is a climbing plant native to the forests of Europe, whose flowers have been used for centuries in beer brewing. However, hops are also used in traditional medicine for their benefits in alleviating nervousness and reducing sleep disorders. Hops allow for natural and calming relaxation without side effects.
The oxygenated compounds it contains are responsible for the sedative properties of this plant. The parts of the plant used for their medicinal properties are the female flowers and lupulin.
