What is N-acetylcysteine (NAC)?
N-Acetylcysteine, or NAC, is a stable form of cysteine, a sulfur-containing amino acid produced in limited quantities by the body. Once ingested, it is converted into L-cysteine, then used by our cells to produce glutathione, the body's main natural antioxidant.
This production directly depends on cysteine availability. The problem: it is not always present in sufficient quantities, which can slow down glutathione synthesis. With age, stress, or exposure to pollution, the body also naturally produces less of it.
By providing cysteine in a highly bioavailable form, NAC as a dietary supplement supports the production of glutathione, which is essential for our body's natural detoxification (2).
For comprehensive antioxidant coverage, our formula combines 600 mg of biofermented NAC with Quali®-C vitamin C and Nutrabiol® Succinate vitamin E. All in a vegan formula, made in France, with no controversial additives.
Who is NAC intended for?
Our NAC is intended for individuals looking to support their overall well-being by enhancing their body's natural antioxidant defense and detoxification mechanisms. It is particularly suitable if:
- You are an athlete or physically active
Regular or intense physical exertion generates increased oxidative stress. - Your diet lacks diversity
A diet low in fruits and vegetables can reduce your intake of vitamin C and vitamin E, two key vitamins for antioxidant protection (1). - Your lifestyle exposes you to oxidative stress
Pollution, a fast-paced routine, smoking, lack of sleep: certain factors encourage free radical production and increase antioxidant requirements.
Directions for use
Dosage: take 2 capsules per day with a large glass of water.
When to take: our NAC can be taken at any time of day, depending on your routine. The key is to maintain consistent intake over time.
Treatment duration: recommended for a 2-month course, to be repeated according to your needs. The 120-capsule bottle covers the full course.
Our tip: consider subscribing to renew your course automatically and enjoy 10% off every order.
